Hello and nice to meet you! We’re Luca and Simona, and together we are Luminis!

The beauty of artisanal jewelry lies in the opportunity to know who is behind a piece, a design, a brand. Since we’ll get to know a bit about you through the things you request, we’d like to share a little of who we are with you.

 

Simona

"Dreams are the best part of a person." Luminis is the best part of me.
If someone had told me that one day I would start a jewelry brand with the man I love, I wouldn’t have believed it.
Yet here it is, Luminis exists; it’s mine, it’s yours, it belongs to everyone who entrusts us with their stories and emotions, allowing us to transform them into personalized jewelry that represents them.
For me, jewelry is just that: a way to connect to beauty, to create it, and my wish is for this spark of beauty to represent, adorn, and let you shine with an intense light. This is why I chose the name Luminis for our brand, and I love it so much.
In a world where everything is mass-produced, it’s essential to nurture and make your uniqueness shine.
I believe in power jewelry, pieces that express intention and can make us feel strong, protected, loved, or simply as beautiful as ever.
I hope that Luminis will be your dreamland, just as it is for me.

Luca

I was there too, among those who drag themselves in the morning to a job they don't love. One of the many shape-shifters who put on a face that they don't recognize, every single day, as long as it is professional and presentable. I'm not ashamed to admit that often, faced with the prospect of such a life, I was seized by a deep resignation, which, over time, turned into an exhausting anxiety.

Whatever I did to chase it away, either it didn't work, or it was even counterproductive.

One evening, back from work, I asked Simona if she needed any help in the workshop, something simple, as long as it was something different. A simple request, a seed that clumsily slipped down from the heart. What I didn't know was that it would find unexpectedly fertile soil. And so it was that, in my black and white swamp, a colorful forest appeared: a small lung teeming with magic and grace, with expression, transformation, and beauty.

I started to like it and began to dream that maybe, one day, it could become my new job... who knows! After a few months, I started to truly believe it; then Simona also started to believe it, until we decided that her job would become our job! The fact that I'm here writing this proves that hope has become reality, and resignation has become determination, even though each month is still an uncertainty and a new challenge to overcome.

Now I speak to you, who have read this and see yourself in the old Luca: there's much more in you than what others see, or admit, or recognize in you! And you'll always have time to start doing what's right for you. No matter how crazy it seems, it will never be crazy enough to discard; you just need to find your colors again!

And since it’s never too late, I take this opportunity to thank Simona, my life partner: while I struggled to find colors in the world, she always made huge efforts of patience to show them to me, with love and kindness, until, after so many years, I too was finally able to see them again.
