Processing times

Luminis is not a jewellery factory.
We're a small outfit shaped to fit us: we're Simona and Luca, and we've chosen to look after everything ourselves so we can give you a service that is attentive but, above all, human — because we like making you feel like people first and customers second.

Beautiful things don't need haste, they need care, and behind every piece there are the two of us giving all of this its value. We follow each piece from the creative process, through the design stage, to the moment it takes shape and comes to life.

We're the ones who personally run the social channels and the site, take the photographs, wrap the parcels with care; we want everything to pass through us and through our own sensibility, because without us nothing would carry that unique mark of beauty and feeling that makes you love us and choose us.

And all of this takes time.

How long it takes

You may sometimes find one-off pieces or small batches ready to ship on the site: those leave within 48 working hours of us receiving the order and the payment. Where it isn't expressly stated otherwise, our production times run from 2 to 4 weeks, public holidays excluded, again from when we receive the order and the payment.

Commissions

Made-to-measure commissions run on timings of their own, which depend on the project: we set them out in the quote, before we start. How a commission works from beginning to end is on the Custom Jewellery page.

Holidays and closures

The workshop is closed in August and for the first ten days of January. These periods don't count towards production times: if your order falls close to a closure, work resumes when we reopen — and we tell you straight away, rather than waiting for you to notice.
